Original Saved By The Bell Cast Reunite For New Reboot Trailer

Nineties kids, rejoice! There’s a new trailer for the Saved By The Bell reboot, and it looks set to be as much fan as the original.

Landing on American streaming service Peacock, the show sees many of our old favourites return as they’re now all grown up – with new adult problems of their own.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Tiffani Thiessen reprise their roles of Zack Morris and Kelly Kapowski, alongside Mario Lopez, who is also back as A.C. Slater and Elizabeth Berkley as Jessie Spano.

The brand-spanking new series sees Zack Morris is now governor of Bayside (yes, really), and is now having to deal with an influx of new students from the surrounding area as several other schools have been hit by financial problems.

His own son Mac now attends Bayside, alongside Jessie’s offspring Jamie.

In more predictable news Slater, meanwhile, is Bayside’s gym teacher.

And he’s still his typical Slater self, if this trailer is anything to go by.

“Yo mama – sorry, Dr. Mama,” Slater says to Jessie as he approaches her in the hallway.

“How do you think this year is gonna go for these new students?” she asks Slater, to which he quickly responds, “I’m psyched.”

We’re also introduced to some of the newer and younger cast as they look to make their mark on Bayside, including Daisy (Haskiri Velazquez) and her friend Aisha (Alycia Pascual-Pena).

But while things may be looking a little different along the school corridors, the show still has the same big heart.

Speaking to a student about what school means to him, Slater says: “Bayside, it’s where I finally felt like I belong. This place is magic.”

Lopez has previously teased what’s coming up in the series reboot.

“It’s going great,” he said to People. “It’s a little edgier and updated, but not naughty by all means. It’s a lot of fun and I’m having fun with it.”

Saved by the Bell will premiere in the US on Nov. 25 on Peacock
