Oops, he did it again!
For the second consecutive week, Minnesota Vikings’ running back Dalvin Cook has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week following his outstanding performance in the Vikings’ 34-20 victory over the Detroit Lions in Week 9.
This past Sunday, Cook put up a career-high 206 yards rushing on 22 carries and got into the end zone twice, including a spectacular 70-yard run that iced the game for the purple. He also added 46 yards on two receptions.
The award makes Cook the first player to win back-to-back NFC Offensive Player of the Week Awards since Todd Gurley did so for the Los Angeles Rams in 2017. Despite having missed a game and a half due to injuries, Cook currently sits as the NFL’s leading rusher with 858 yards and leads the league with 12 rushing touchdowns.
You might even say that, at this point of the season, Dalvin Cook is the real MVP. That is a thing that you could definitely say.
Congratulations to Dalvin Cook on winning the NFC Offensive Player of the Week Award for the second week in a row!
