In the post, she described herself as a ‘single cat lady’, but the emphasis is clearly supposed to be on the ‘single’ part of the statement.
The singer shared a picture of herself on the set of the hugely popular US comedy programme alongside her co-stars, and took the opportunity to lavish some praise on everyone who had helped her through it.
The 32-year-old wrote: “Had the best time on SNL!
“Thank you to the most wonderful cast, crew, writers and producers.
“What a sublime bunch of people you are. Lorne thank you for believing in me! Lindsay my sister for life, Maya my comedy and Mama hero! Plus the so up for it audiences at both the dress rehearsal and live show!
“I did it for the joy of it and I hope you got some from it too! Good luck with the election America I love you so much. Look after each other and go easy on yourselves. Happy Halloween!”
Then at the end, she added in the part that most are analysing. She added: “I’m going back to my cave now to be the (single) cat lady that I am! Peace out til next year.”
This is a clear reference to the fact that a load of people have been speculating that her and the UK musician Skepta are an item.
According to People, things had been ‘heating up between the pair’. They added: “They run in the same circles in London, and she’s having fun.”
Well, it’s not exactly the most concrete evidence that anyone has ever discovered, and now it seems as if the Hello singer has decided to set the record straight.
Or, maybe she’s just trying to keep everyone at length when it comes to her personal life. That’s not out of the questions.
They pair have been spotted together on several occasions, and have made no secret of the fact that they’re good pals, but no official confirmation has ever been made amongst all of the speculation.
After they were spotted together on a night out – remember those? – a source told The Metro: “Adele looked great and they seemed happy being out together in the public view.
“They were in the middle of the bar having their drinks while they were getting ready for the VR experience.
“I think they must have played the zombie game because they were shouting and screaming.”
Well, it seems as if that might just be a sign of good friendship rather than anything more.
